Phantom Knights

A full week of recovery....today back to the grindstone....yes they did it again...the heat of last weekend proved challenging....but these amazing kids rose to the challenge once again....a new backfield warm up...which sounds amazing....a few changes to the show and work done on perfecting the music....they took to the field in the searing heat ready to commence battle....once again they played and marched their little socks off (would have been cooler if they didn’t have them on)....they left the field with their heads held high once again....but....how had they done???....the wait begun....TYMBA bands took to the field...giving us all bucket loads of entertainment and and precision marching...then everyone had the chance to show off a little with a get together for a jam session in the lot....a brilliant way for the kids to forge friendships with likeminded kids....then came the results....they did it again...call after call was Phantom Knights....only losing 1 caption (and I am confident they will up their game for September)....finally it came....“First Place....Phantom Knights“....an amazing result once again...the points had improved....they had upped their game....but so had the competition....who are hot on our heals....Well done Comets who had put some hard work in between competitions to close that gap and a worthy second place....We would all like to thank Dale and the team at Liberty for a great competition and a brilliant new venue....just a little cooler next time please ;-)....well done to all bands who took part....wasn’t easy out there in full uniform....and we wish our own Leah (contra player) a speedy recovery after suffering a bit of heat stroke...so what can I say....the Mighty Knights did it again....but the competition is hot on our heals....time to up the game during the summer break ready to take the banding world by storm again in September...have a great summer break everyone...be safe....and be competitive....I know we will.....watch this space....#ProudProudKnight ... Phantom Knights

New drums for the Phantom Knights membership.1st Mair Drums Taiwan VICTOR series landed in Europe!

And they went to .... Phantom Knights!!

PK Snareline is the first in Europe that yesterday became the new Mair Victor Fibre Series lightweight drums!

Marching Specialist Martijn van derKolk handed over the drums in person to bandmanager Carl Harris in a shiny burning 27 degrees sun in Nuneaton.

The Mair Victor Series are Hybrid drums made with aluminium collar ring and lugs, Carbon top and bottom hoop and a stunning brushed Fibre Shell. Drums mounted and tuned with Remo Whitemax heads.
These components take care off a stunning projection and pitched sound and an incredible light weight!! Drums were delivered with SP Marching Percussion's custom junior mini tube carriers for the perfect fittings to carry.

PK is the second band on Mair instruments in the UK , after we delivered the 1st Mair Royal Series drums to Concord Youth Music last year.

Congratulations Phantom Knights !! May we soon see them approaching the field this year!
